Unpopular time but I agree with this, even if nothing happens in the show, I think it will be great to have different characters gravitating around Sherlock, and offering plenty of new things to write for everyone. I love my slash, I love Sherlock/John but I’m NOT blocking on it like it’s the only thing in the world and any great stories with great characters will please me.
NOW. If the above is a CRITIC of the slash fans, I can’t agree (the whole evil slash people thingy is getting old now), but what I’m saying is that diversity is all fine and fun for the fandom, and I think it’s great :D
Once again, I am facepalming at the implication that there is no current alternative to slash in the Sherlock fandom.
Yes, the slash is pretty prevalent, but that’s not the ENTIRETY of the fandom.
